Almost 20 years ago, the Lac of Loppem campsite closed its doors and the last mobile homes disappeared. Since then, the site has looked desolate. The artificial lake, created in 1937 during the construction of the E40 motorway, is nevertheless an idyllic spot in the middle of green surroundings. The site also enjoys excellent accessibility, a stone's throw from Bruges and close to the motorway.

Together with all partners involved, Global Estate Group is developing the master plan for the site. The intention is to develop a residential zone with park on the site.
