After Gasthof De Kroon closed in 2020, Global Estate Group purchased the site on the corner of the Houtkaai and the Kroonstraat in Bruges. In collaboration with Salens Architects and in close consultation with the City of Bruges, we are working on plans to repurpose the building.

In addition to 11 flats, we have submitted a permit for two office spaces and a hospitality area. We want to ensure that the original hospitality function (the inn’s name appears in documents from 1684) is given a place in this new project. The historically valuable elements of the building, such as the façade and cellars, will also be preserved. Our ambition is to integrate high-quality architecture into the area, with great respect for the neighbourhood and its past.
